I actually thought that was better than Saving Private Ryan

the Peleliu and Iwo Jima segments of that series were both breath-taking and heart-breaking

you can watch it on Amazon Prime as well. Really a great series. So much different than Band of Brothers. BoB was so patriotic and uplifting in a sea of death and destruction. Pacific is really dreary and really brings home the challenges US kids had in fighting in that environment. Not sure which one I like better, but Pacific is probably a much more realistic representation of experiences.

Highly recommended if you are a war buff.
