Next Monday there will be broadcasts of the last several Big Ten championships. The following Monday will be 24 hours of Wrestling in Sixty, presumably covering several years.

Watching the 2014 finals. Nico vs. Delgado right now. Man, was Delgado ever a staller (and someone who ran away from action) and it was never called on him. He hung onto legs (which wasn't then given the five count I don't think) and also rolled constantly on his back (before the danger call was initiated). He would not survive very well under today's rules or in freestyle. Even the announcers were saying that Nico took 7 times as many shots as Delgado

The 5 second leg riding rule was put in place after Delgado's Jr year ... I think he was a big reason for it. When Jessie returned for his Sr year he finished 4th at Bigs and failed to reach AA at NCAAs.

A similar thing happened with Heil after the danger rule was enacted ... again, I think he was a big reason for it. He went from NC his Jr year to Non-AA his Sr year.
