E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dat front 7 though...... was scared when hicks went out but my ninja kendricks stepped up.

We've got ourselves a QB and some building blocks after Chip Kelly almost killed them.

still are some positions that could use some upgrading, but it's amazing how much the roster has improved after all the idiotic personnel decisions the Chipster made. And as you mentioned, drafting Wentz has really worked out well for the Birds.

It's like Kelly was destroying the franchise on purpose

I think the play of the front 7 is kind of masking the CBs. can't wait till darby gets back. can tell Douglas is a rook. has a great play, followed by 3 bonehead plays. i'm excited though cause with sidney jones in the wings getting healthy, darby coming back soon and the game time douglas is getting, i think they're gonna be fine on the back end pretty soon (next year). Add to that the front 7, and this D is set up to be serious for a LONG time. time to start looking for a replacement to start grooming under jenkins though. he's getting up there in years.

kind of lost count. Believe that was the most penalties called against the Eagles since a 2010 game.
Horrible one sided calls - it's amazing the Eagles overcame all that. 10 Eagles penalties to 1 against the Panthers. Very gutsy and physical game. Great to put Cam Newton in his place. He's a punk.

Nice win on a short week, on the road, injuries, etc. Could be a team playing in late January. I was a big knocker on Wentz, I admit.
Wentz is proving to be special. I said to my father tonight that Cam reminds me a bit of McNabb -- super talented, but not the greatest under pressure/adversity. The Eagles exploited that with pressure to cause mistakes on crucial downs.

Wentz, on the other hand, seemed like the proverbial cool side of the pillow. His third down play so far has been otherworldly. He'll come down to earth, no doubt, but he just has this cool way about him that bodes well for the future.

Yeah, Wentz has been really impressive. He's a nice player to watch.

Jones is no longer walking with a limp or boot. Not sure if he has started working out but next season on he could be a steal of this past draft. Also a place of need for the Eagles. This team is set up nicely with some nice young players. Now we just need Howie to work his magic and get the Browns to trade us Barkley on draft day.... ;)

True but then I like McNabb much better as a person.

I hope that guy was arrested and ends up in jail. He took three shots to the face.

The puncher and girlfriend were standing throughout the game and were asked repeatedly to sit down. It escalated until punches were thrown. Puncher called the 62 year old victim a 'geriatric f**k' and '******' prior to hitting him. The puncher has been ID'd. Obviously, there were many witnesses.

He is in quite a bit of trouble. Panthers have released a statement saying they know who he is and the police are investigating the incident with the person who was hit filed an official complaint. Guy is in big trouble not just with the law but if he is employed somewhere could be problems there as well

Good. They should put him in jail and let Bubba have a go at him. Punk and the girlfriend ran away, of course.

Yeah, punching someone in the face and having that punch broadcast to the world will do that to you.

Just another sap whose life was f'd up by alcohol. Sad. I had my issues in my own day but managed to dodge that particular bullet.

Being drunk doesn't excuse being a sociopathic, twisted violent bully. This guy is a piece of $hit and he's got some things coming to him, karma-wise.

nice to come away with a win on the road against Carolina.

5-1 to start the season

The BIG story here is an Eagles thread without some Yinzer making a comment about the Steelers having as many championships as Pitt.

Kelly was driven by his ego. He vastly overrated his skills. There's a lot of that going around these days if you get my drift.
Almost every coach is driven by ego. Kelly didn't adapt once the rest of the league caught up with him. Didn't help trading McCoy for Kiko and dumping Djack
