IN A GOOD WAY. Has he learned his lesson??? First Mailata now Sweat.

Looks like the fletch restructure this week was to sign at least 1 promising rookie to a new deal. This is what we want right? Keep the in-house talent in house!

I’m loving this team, feels like a fresh start. 9 wins wins the nfc least this year!

My only question is Sweat’s production. Is he going to be worth that kind of money for three years? I hope so.

We’ll learn a lot about this team vs SF tomorrow and then @Dallas next week. It’s time for them to shine.

No, don’t want to sign contract while a player is under his rookie contract, unless he is towards the end of that contract.
Our team needs more and more players on rookie contracts.

You can't sign a rookie to an extension. Sweat is in the last year of his rookie contract.

The salary cap is going to go up substantially next year. Extending guys now at a reasonable number is good business.

I love the War Koala signing.

Mailata is great business. He can obviously play at a very high level and will get better. The Eagles DE extensions have been a mixed bag. I wonder whether this means Barnett is gone?

He’s on the last year of his rookie deal. Sign him now before A: he has the breakout season we’ve been hearing they expect which would skyrocket his asking price and/or B: sign him before the cap goes up. Smart signing.

I’d say probably. FA next year. It would be imperative to go DE shopping very soon. Already weak depth there.
