We're midway through this NFL season and how do you see it all shake out and who ends up in the Super Bowl? Are the Eagles the best team in the NFC? They have the best record in the NFL at 7-1 at the moment. Will the road to the Super Bowl go through Philadelphia? Are the Chiefs, Steelers and Patriots the class of the AFC?

Right now, I'm thinking Patriots-Seahawks. Ugh. Until the Steelers can figure out how to beat Brady & Belichick, the Patriots in my opinion will rule the AFC, again. I give the edge to the Seahawks in the NFC only because of playoff experience and the Eagles playoff inexperience.

Thoughts?

Pasterisks can't play defense. Who knows what rule the organization will bend to fix it, but right now, they're just not a very good unit. Also at age 40 - even with whatever cocktails his trainers are mixing up for him - tommy boy isn't going to be able to withstand some of the hits he's been taking.

Who knows for sure, but right now I don't see the pasterisks making it to the SB.

LOT of football to be played. The Eagles need to be careful about the amount of hits Wentz is taking, and the OL is kind of a question mark. However they are putting up insane yards and points, have a great turnover margin and a very high time of possession. Also, the D is GENERALLY lights out and even more help is on the way when Darby comes back. Granted they are one of 5 teams to have already given up 2k+ passing yards, but their front 7 is insane. We’ve seen in the past that a lights out defense can carry a team to a ring (Denver X2, Baltimore…. Etc)

Maybe a Steelers fan can weigh in on what they bring to the table? All I know is that they have a well rounded offense and their pass D has been playing well, but outside of that I don’t know.

Ok, so the Steelers beat the Chiefs, who beat both the Patriots and the Eagles.

I know it means nothing, but that's all we have to go on at this point - I guess that means the Steelers are the best team in the NFL right now? LOL

Would love to see Steelers/Eagles SB - I am life-long Steelers fan who married into an Eagles family - it would be LIT.

Steeler's defense is playing pretty well. The young linebackers are creating pressure, and Joe Haden has helped the secondary. They seem to be playing a bit more man to man. They really tighten up in the Red Zone. Its still a bit too much bend but don't break, but its getting better. They still have games where they can look bad though against the run for some reason. Usually when Tuitt is out, and he has been quite a bit.

Their offense has been REALLY struggling. Ben looks off. He's missing passes and throwing into coverage. And as good as the D has been in the Red Zone, the offense has been terrible. Way too many field goals. They are 11th in yards per game, and 20th in points scored per game. Everyone though this offense would be explosive, but it can't score. If they don't improve, there is no Super Bowl for them.

We almost had an Eagles- Steelers SuperBowl a few years ago. Still a lot of football to be played but if this ever happened it would be crazy around here. The Pittsburgh vs Philadelphia jabs are never far from the surface on a good day but a Philly vs 'Burgh SuperBowl? This place would melt down.

I could only imagine the entertainment value this board would be for folks like Lafayette, psute, Westcoast24, or visiting fans that stumble across the board. ;)

The state of Pennsylvania would shut down the Friday before and Monday after the Super Bowl

Well of course. One team is known for winning Super Bowls, the other is known for losing in them.

I don't know. One of those teams is hitting on all cylinders and the other is struggling a bit. If that struggling team's QB retires- they are looking at fighting with the Browns in the standings rather than the SuperBowl. ;)

Wishful thinking on your part.

The Eagles have not been tested too much (call them Wisconsin?!). The loss of JP will hurt. I see they picked up Ajayi, for what that is worth. Wentz is playing well and that is half the battle in the NFL. I think Seattle and Dallas (yes even without Zeke for 6) will be heard from in the NFC. AFC is crazy. Look out for Buffalo, if not this year in years to come. Their future drafts are stacked an McDermott (sp?) is a good coach. I would predict NE-SEA right now if the gun were to my head.

How cute. Pasterisks. Yinz are still Tom Brady's biatches. A Steeler fan suggesting PED use. Comedy Gold!
