How about that for redshirt sophomore Sa’Derian Perry, wrestle the tournament of your life and become an All-American at 141 only to go back to your school and have the athletic department inform you that they cut wrestling!

That stinks. Tanner Smith went 19-0 for his redshirt season. Wolverines should be calling.

This is one of those schools that needs to drop football and focus on “minor sports”. The fact that they do this and keep their absolutely worthless and hopeless football program afloat is ridiculous
They'd have to leave the MAC, I believe, if they dropped football. I know their program has been controversial, but this move keeps them in the conference.

But theoretically the MAC could still keep them in non-revenue sports. MAC accommodated Missouri.

Good time for UM to pick up some transfers....

who could be the 125 transfer rumored for O$U?

Any others out there at 125/133/141?

I am a proponent of redshirting the three pups and N. Lee next year. With the horses at 149-285, I believe PSU can afford to do it.

Here's what I read, with credit to the Detroit Free Press, and David Jesse..."Division I Football Bowl Subdivision requires schools to sponsor a minimum of 16 sports and the Mid-American Conference requires member universities to sponsor football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and women’s volleyball."

Missouri has all of the required sports.

if you do twitter read this whole thread....misplaced priorities for sure

I guess requiring doesn’t mean within the conference.
