Eleven Warriors poll: Biggest Big Ten Threat to OSU? 76% say Penn State

Michigan at 7% right now.

This is why I I couldn't care less if Ohio State fans don't view PSU as a rival. I don't care if other teams do not view PSU as "their rival". All I care about if that they view PSU as their biggest threat to win the B10.

We will be at a 100% once we beat them next year in a white out night game in happy valley.

2018 will be an interesting year. PSU has to reload and exert itself in the post Barkley era. CJF has brought in classes that cause one to be optimistic. tOSU also has to reload. For the first time, PSU and tOSU both reload based on good recruiting classes. tOSU returns their starting RBs and loses its QB, while PSU returns its QB and loses its RB.

Regardless, 2018 is a great barometer as to the trajectory of the two programs. Sparty looks like the team to beat in the B1G east.

What Big Ten East supremacy? The division has had 3 different champs the last 3 seasons.

You think Sparty is the team to beat? I think they fight it out with their in-state rival for 3rd in the B1G east. I like PSU's chances vs Sparty in 2018 with the game at Beaver Stadium.

Rebuilding, re-loading or whatever -- PSU and tOSU are separating from the rest....just my opinion, we'll see.

I agree with you in general and for the next several years. However, I think next year Sparty has more talent, and experienced talent, than both tOSU and PSU. I put a lot of emphasis on experience. I would be happy to be wrong about 2018~!

I'd actually prefer if they thought we weren't going to be very good--not much of a threat to them--McS not very good, no one to replace SB, etc. Ha Ha

Last year it was "without Chris Godwin catching all those 50/50 armpunts, the lucky horseshoe will fall out of McSorley's butt (MGoBlog's Brian Cook)". Now it's without Barkley, McSorley will stink.

BucksHave7
-PSU wont win at Pitt in its 'soft OOC' schedule you as you say.
-PSU replaces 7 defensive starters. The #7 got missed. Thats alot. Buckeyes will always be a top 10 defense in the country, based on stats no matter who we replace.
-McSorley, Im going factual: listed at 6-0 (yeah right, but ok, 6-0?), 195, 4.5 40 time and weak arm strength, read his scouting reports, dont take my word for it. McSorley will be exposed this year big time without Barkley in the backfield.

I don't buy the idea of them having more talent experienced or otherwise than OSU or PSU. They were annihilated by OSU and would have lost to PSU by 10+ points if that game was played in conditions other than a freaking monsoon. To me MSU is just like Iowa. They can beat you if you repeatedly beat yourself. That said, If you play to your capability they can't matchup. They will be repaid in full when they come to Beaver Stadium this season.

Yeah, after this past season, I think the days of Penn State playing down to Sparty and getting upset by them are over for quite some time.

Sparty will still have a season here and there -- not saying PSU and OSU are going to beat them every time -- but I don't think 2018 will be one of them.

JF's recruiting is what leads to this result. They can see that we are taking players that they want, and I am pleased that they are noticing.

Full props to JF. Those who doubted him after the first couple of years (hand raised) can now see the error of their ways.

Count me among those who doubt CJF. The jury's still out. I hang my hat on long, sustained performance. My B1G buddies (not me) claim PSU's recent success is an aberration. We shall see. OSU would be crazy to think otherwise given how CJF is recruiting but as for 2018 I believe Sparty presents the greatest challenge.

I hear you, but I keep having flash backs of Lewerke slicing our pass coverage like a hot knife through butter. Let us not forget Sparty also beat Meat in the Out House and, correct me if I'm wrong, 8 of out the last 10 times. That says something.

LOL

Just so you know, JMFF isn't going to change his skin color, so you may as well just accept the fact that African Americans can in fact be good at things other than just running and jumping.

With the talent Franklin is bringing in you could probably have anyone other than harbaugh coach this team to ten win seasons as long as the recruiting stays up.

Cosmos is worried about “Long, sustained performance”. I think they make pills for that if it is an issue for you.

now we know why so many capitalized and sensationalized the sandusky scandal. they wanted their football teams to be better.
