With "Its Now or Never" ( THIS year ) playing loudly in the background we ( just me ) take a look at why " Lee Should be Freed for the Seed" ( Patent Pending ).

This Friday against Michigan their 141 lb is Sal Profaci....who is ranked # 20. No pushover but Nick should be favored. Sunday would bring Javier Gasca...ranked #19. Again...no pushover but Nick favored again. The following Friday against Purdue Nick would get Nate Limmex who is ranked #16. Sunday brings Maryland's 141. If Nick prevails he could have quality wins and a solid RPI. But not done yet. The following Friday against Minnesota the opponent is Tommy Thorn....ranked #10. Much like a tournament ....the ranked wrestlers get a bit tougher each dual. Sunday the 28th is Rutgers but Nick should definitely stay home....lessening the chance he will be convinced to transfer :). The Ohio State dual is the following week and that brings Joey Mckenna.....ranked #6. The next week is Iowa and they will put a decent 141 on the mat. So ...to my eyes....Nick starting this weekend allows him quality opportunities to boost his Big 10 seed ( and lower others ) as well as raising his RPI for seeding at Nationals. It makes so much sense ( to me ) that it probably has no chance of happening.

Nick not traveling to Rutgers is probably a good idea. I am a bit concerned about our 197 pounders. I understand Rutgers officials have contacted Louisville and Pitt officials about Hooker connections and I guess there is a pre party plan for the PSU 197 pounders to have dinner with Rutgers President Barchi, AD Hobbs, coach Goodale and Rutgers booster Bob Suriano. Dinner conversation is rumored to be the value of Rutgers wrestling scholarships.

I agree it's 'now or never'. If Lee doesn't go this weekend, Cael has another plan, and it doesn't involve pulling Lee's shirt.

I feel Cael is always playing a longer game than most of us. He wanted Zain to be a leader for the 3Ns, so Zain sat out his second year. Seems to have worked out for all involved. You can tell Cael likes Nick's attitude, and attitude is probably his favorite word. I'd love to see Nick with the white stripe on his belly ASAP, but... In Utah's favored son, I must trust.

Actually, his favorites are "blessed, "grateful", and "thankful"...:):):).
