ESPN+ is still a subscription service, so yes, you need both the ESPN app (which is free) and the ESPN+ service (which is not) to get ESPN+ on the fire stick.

You only need one ESPN account that you can log into on the fire stick, computer, phone, etc. As long as that account has the ESPN+ subscription, it will work wherever you log in. I'm not sure how many simultaneous logins a single ESPN account allows, but it is definitely more than one.

You will have a user ID and password. Sign in on your devices of choice. You can have 3 separate streams going at once.

For those with Verizon unlimited data plans, check your packages. A couple of them include a free ESPN + account.
This was wonderfully helpful! I did indeed have ESPN+ through my Verizon account, and I had NO IDEA.
Thank you very much!!

I only use Roku, as well. But I intend to watch the NCAA's. My wife was desperate to watch the Oscars, and we had no access to ABC. In desperation, I bought YouTubeTV. Cost me $69 for a month. I may have failed to mention to my wife that I'll be using ESPN and ESPNU for the next week or so. Just a funny coincidence. I wanted mat choices and I figure what's 10 more bucks. So I'm in for 79 dollars for the tournament.
Ha ha ha! Sounds like my household too. My wife was starting to draw up a list of honey do's for this coming weekend and I told her that watching wrestling takes #1 priority Thursday thru Saturday. You guys can guess how well that one went, but this one isn't negotiable. 🤼‍♂️

I think we should start giving the wives honey do lists...especially this weekend...wonder how that would go over lol

I'm quoting my own darn message. We got an invitation to my granddaughter's graduation - master degree. I had to come clean today that I would be watching wrestling for the next 3 days. She said, "Good, cause I'm going shopping for a new dress, and you're paying for it"

Just beware, that's part of a free 6 month Disney bundle promotion on Verizon unlimited. Now, you may already be paying for it, but the first 6 months were free.

THANK YOU again for that warning, but the plan I have has it included, not a trial.
(So in other words, it's "free" and I've been paying for it all along. 😂)

Told my wife that yesterday lol. She rolled her eyes and just walked away. Didn't say one word lol. Anyhow slept on the couch last night. Next year I'm waiting til the day of to say anything lol

I'm a lucky man, my wife is a big fan as myself. She is upset because she works today and can't watch this afternoon's rounds.

I have all 8 streams going at once (I opened 8 browser windows and have 1 per mat). I believe the move from ESPN3 (last year) to ESPN+ allows this.

Well, that was fun. At ten till 11 I tried to log in to ESPN+ on TV. No go. Woke up wife and asked for passwords and such. Groggy and in the mood she tried to log in, back and forth with phone password changes. At 10:40 she gently handed me the remote and walked away...I went to ESPN+ and started the process over. She came in and asked what I purchased. ESPN+ it said on her phone. We logged in and it worked. She said I cancelled BTN. I said no shit, this is espn+. Proving she doesn't listen to me. I kept saying the email will be from ESPN. Worked out well, I'm pretty sure I won't be bothered for a few days now. I wonder if she would be up for making me a sandwich. Maybe too soon to ask.

ESPN+ worked great for me. I kept MatCast on my phone so I would always know who’s on and then picked which mat to watch on my fire stick. This is the first time I’ve had this for NCAAs, and I love it.

Been using it a few years now, love it. Only small gripe is no clock on the matcast but other than that it's perfect.

I keep 5 or 6 screens open along with the matcast. I can switch between matches w/o a problem. I'm fine with the + broadcast. Just what I was looking for.
Wish the NCAA brackets were on FLO instead of Track. I find the Track brackets more difficult to navigate.
