Ethan Black ko return...

It would make sense to work him out in that role. That doesn't mean he is 1st team but don't count him out just because he is a run on.

He is the fastest kid on this team and this team is FAST. Kid is one of the fastest in the nation...and this is not exaggeration or hype. Like I said, I saw the kid in person and even though it was small school football the kid literally scored nearly every time he touched the ball.

Did he have any D-1 offers?

Fast is great but Vision is right up there

I wish him the best. But he played in a very small school, watered down league that had a reputation of not playing much defense. Most of the now defunct WestPAC winners never made D5 or D6 finals.

But considering all that, it's impressive he got invited to the team as a walk on.

I might be wrong but I don't think anyone from those tiny schools in the D5-D6 area has made any waves in D1 since Jeff Hostettler. And those schools were probably much bigger back then.

Despite what some people believe, football is not rocket science. And that’s not directed at you. True players from larger schools that face serious competition truly do have a distinct advantage. But with his natural blazing speed he has an opportunity to find the field if he doesn’t vomit up the ball when he’s hit. Or perhaps actually catch the ball when it’s thrown to him. Or maybe as a contributing gunner on special teams. I really hope the kid makes it, because I’m a sucker for a good David vs Goliath story.

For certain he has one thing you can't teach which is speed.

To become a regular contributor on special teams for a top D1 program is quite an accomplishment. Hope this is this kids floor and goes up from there.
