The Ref is extremely underrated. I've always loved that movie but it never comes to mind at Christmas time for some reason. Favorite Christmas movie is Bad Santa.

I'm old so it's Frank Capra's It's a Wonderful Life. My son loves Home Alone.

Another good one from 1947 is It Happened on 5th Avenue.

I am old too....probably older. Apparently I am just a sick person :). I must say.....if you think Steve Martin's rant in "Planes, Trains and Automobiles is bad.....you gotta check out Dennis Leary's rant in "The Ref". Classic........demented but classic

You should have heard my Zane trying to convince mrspawrestlers that Die Hard is a Christmas movie recently. She's not buying it.

I'm with your Mrs. To me a Christmas movie is about Christmas, not just one that happens around Christmas time. Die Hard is about Professor Snape trying to prove he is an exceptional (instead of ordinary) thief.

For many years, A Christmas Story was the go-to. As with all things in our home now, whatever makes our kids the happiest becomes the family favorite. So, Home Alone is the household movie now.

I'm a sentimental fool and have a long list - It's a Wonderful Life, Family Man, The Family Stone and Love Actually top it.

We went with Die Hard 2 last night. Virginia native, so there's that soft spot for the hell that is Dulles.

LOL. I love Dulles, but that is because my brother lives about 10 minutes from Dulles so flying to NCAAs or BIGs is often quite convenient. Parking my car there for BIGs and either his wife drives us to the airport or we split an Uber ride of about $15. Easy peasy. :D
