There is nothing within this report that says DJ Newbill took an impermissible benefit as a player at Penn State.
Joe knew. Joe had to know.
Yeah. Guess it's not.One day I hope Penn State fans could not mention a deceased football coach in a basketball thread, today is sadly not that day.
Notice all of the Philly connections on that list.. DJ Newbill, Lavoy Allen, Antonio Pena, Malik Wayns, Kyle Lowry.
Not to mention Sixers ties (Allen, Wayns, Noel, and Fultz)

I thought we had a basketball board for basketball threads. FYI, it's also the super secret complaint board for the best posters.
I was an undergrad before Joe was coach, maybe we need to ask if Rip knew. One day I hope Penn State fans could not mention a deceased football coach in a basketball thread, today is sadly not that day.
Doesn't matter to the media. The only thing they want you to know is that a former PSU player took a loan.Based on the date, the initial word is that it was a “loan” to get him to Europe to play professionally. That is, it was given to him after his time at Penn State. We’ll see.

It goes beyond NCAA rules. We are talking about possible bribery, wire fraud, money laundering, and more. Obviously big money is involved. Yes, the FBI has a lot on its plate, but they cannot ignore criminal violations in a billion dollar industry. I am on my way to a meeting, so I can't get further into it, but from a legal standpoint, this is like reading a great novel where you don't know the ending. Fascinating.i have never heard the media ask why the FBI is involved at all in this stuff. it is NCAA rules. if it is cash transfer it is tax avoidance so IRS agents not FBI needed. very hard to make it money laundering. FBI has enough issues without getting into sports.
While Politicians from all Parties continue to steal millions of dollars and live lavishly.Awesome. Thanks FBI. Now we know that a basketball player took a small loan while dead kids are being buried in Florida. I hate this bizarro world.
The AAU circuits are at the heart of all of this, IMHO.It goes beyond NCAA rules. We are talking about possible bribery, wire fraud, money laundering, and more. Obviously big money is involved. Nice to know the FBI is on top of bball, I feel safer for it.Awesome. Thanks FBI. Now we know that a basketball player took a small loan while dead kids are being buried in Florida. I hate this bizarro world.
