FBI YAHOO REPORT....DJ NEWBILL is on the list....

Based on the date, the initial word is that it was a “loan” to get him to Europe to play professionally. That is, it was given to him after his time at Penn State. We’ll see.

There is nothing within this report that says DJ Newbill took an impermissible benefit as a player at Penn State.

Notice all of the Philly connections on that list.. DJ Newbill, Lavoy Allen, Antonio Pena, Malik Wayns, Kyle Lowry.

Not to mention Sixers ties (Allen, Wayns, Noel, and Fultz)

One day I hope Penn State fans could not mention a deceased football coach in a basketball thread, today is sadly not that day.

I thought we had a basketball board for basketball threads. FYI, it's also the super secret complaint board for the best posters.

The only mention of Nova was an entry saying either "meeting with" or "met" "the Villanova coaches". Thats it. I'm sure Nova will have to comment on this.

Doesn't matter to the media. The only thing they want you to know is that a former PSU player took a loan.

i have never heard the media ask why the FBI is involved at all in this stuff. it is NCAA rules. if it is cash transfer it is tax avoidance so IRS agents not FBI needed. very hard to make it money laundering. FBI has enough issues without getting into sports.

It goes beyond NCAA rules. We are talking about possible bribery, wire fraud, money laundering, and more. Obviously big money is involved. Yes, the FBI has a lot on its plate, but they cannot ignore criminal violations in a billion dollar industry. I am on my way to a meeting, so I can't get further into it, but from a legal standpoint, this is like reading a great novel where you don't know the ending. Fascinating.

Arizona is a dirty program. Didn't they come up in a different recent scandle? Now, wiretapped transferring $100k to a recruit. Bye-bye, Sean Miller.

The AAU circuits are at the heart of all of this, IMHO.

Wake up , all the top programs are dirty including DUKE AND VILLANOVA.

Kyrie Irving, Austin Rivers, Jabari Parker, Jahlil Okafor, Justice Winslow, Tyus Jones, Brandon Ingram, Jason Tatum, Frank Jackson, Harry Giles, I believe were all "One-and-Done" type players, and they all went to Duke. Granted Nova doesn't partake much in the "One-and-Done" philosophy, but it's still a huge issue in the college game. But thanks for chiming in!
