Candidly what I'd like to see made is a film about Paterno's entire, well-documented life as it would force folks to learn about Joe Paterno prior to the media's portrayal of him in November 2011.
Here, here, Zeno.
among many very good sources to get that project underway, including Lou Prato and to a lesser degree Joe Posnanski, they could refer to "The Joe We Know", written and produced by The Men of The Grand Experiment with Eric Porterfield... i.e. former players and football staff themselves, who knew JVP as well as anyone outside of Sue and the family and who can testify to his positive, lasting impact on their lives and so many others.
That would be a film about Paterno that would show his true legacy the way it should be remembered.
@wensilver - maybe a call from you to Hobson at WaPo would get him to make a call to the people behind TJWK? Or at least get him to take a look at the website (below) and watch some of the testimonies and read what motivated these guys to do this.
Porterfield runs Blue-White TV in State College, and the other key players are easy to find.
