Earlier this morning, I walked across Atherton St. at Hillcrest Ave. in State College. All four lanes are finally paved and operational between W. Aaron Drive and Rec Hall. One of the Flagger Force guys told me yesterday that they were hoping to finish but might have to come back today. Looks like they finished. None of the crew was out this morning. No more feeling like you're off-roading and might lose your tires, wheels, suspension or exhaust along the way.

N. Atherton Street ... sponsored by Goodyear, Firestone and Michelin!

N. Atherton was a shit mess before construction and will be a shit mess after construction. The construction just made it more of a shit mess. I always avoided it at all costs.

I heard they're renaming the street, too. Louis Freeh Blvd.

When are you jumping on your Bugatti and making the trek to Happy Valley for a game? Long overdue, no?

Yeah, until about 2 years from now, when it shows signs of wear and Hawbaker gets paid to re-surface the whole thing. There seems to be a lot of paving of perfectly good roads in Happy Valley.
A while back, I asked one of the Hawbaker guys working on the construction when they were going to start on the South Atherton part of the project. His response, "That has to go out for bid and we might not get it." I looked at him and started laughing. He laughed too. Yeah right. "We might not get it." HA!

What's your definition of "perfectly good roads", I have noticed them paving roads that need it instead of the tar and chip crap they keep using. BTW, Hawbaker being busy is a good thing for Happy Valley since they employ a lot of people that live in an around Happy Valley. Gov't's way of pumping money into the economy and I would rather Hawbaker get the contracts instead of some out of state or out of area firm which then would take the money out of the local economy. I will be worried when all the construction going on, stops.

You fellow's are WAYYYY out of my class.
My Chevy LTZ has 150k miles on it hoping to get another year out of it. Looking at the 2020 Premiers, for spring.
step, I'm a jalopy car man myself. I have a thing for Italian designed motor vehicles though. I have always loved the styling of Bugatti, Ducati and Ferrari. I'm so cheap about vehicles that, even if I could afford one of those, I would never buy one. Still, I saw some young student cruisin' around PSU in a red Ferrari the other day. The sight of the logo gives me a good feeling.

I would love to have a few of the autos in the Jay Leno collection.

Hawbaker is so crooked, he can't even pave in a straight line.

Columbia Gas crews are moving in on October 15 to replace some distribution pipes.

Just kidding folks.

Still I would not be surprised.

After they gave the wrong specs out the first time around (caused about an extra year to be tacked on to the project) that would be a kicker.
