And, all four could reach the semi-final if they win this week. Pretty crazy but could make for a spectacular environment in Flushing Meadows - especially at night. I kind of wanted Sharapova to make it further just to play up her villain role, but I'll gladly take this instead.

Did you see the 5 set match Federer v Tiafoe? That young kid is going to be something special. I am not a huge tennis guy, just dial into the majors (like a High Holy Jew) but that match had me hooked.

Yeah - Tiafoe is a great story too. He has a more complete game than the other top American men (Isner is all serve, Querrey hadn't made it past the fourth round of a GS until last year) and has a really great heavy topspin forehand. He'll need to work on hitting the ball flatter to keep other players honest, but he was a lot of fun to watch.
