In conversations with sources around the league, FootballScoop has learned that AAF head coaching salaries break out roughly as follows:

— $500,000 for head coaches
— $200-250,000 for coordinators
— $75-150,000 for position coaches

maybe not B1G numbers but more than Marshall numbers plus you dont have to recruit...

Speaking of AAF, how are they getting away with them actually playing "real" football again where a QB can get hit without a flag? I barely watched half a quarter of the Orlando game, but I saw highlights and there were some legit hits with no flags. Are they not opening themselves up to future lawsuits?

I think he just wants to coach. No where near the pressure of the NFL and you don't have to recruit HS kids....perfect retirement gig for him as he seems to enjoy the X's and O's of football.

right now there are a bunch of assistant coaches working with some pretty good qualifications. Guys like Jimmy Grobe, Rick Minter, Steve Marshall, ??? White (QB coach for Memphis) off the top of my head, plus many others, most of who have coached in the NFL. So its not like these guys are not getting any coaching.
