fc OT Wes Hopkins of the Eagles passed away. One of my all time favorites

So sad. Before the knee injury, he was an outstanding safety. After the injury, he was a good safety, but he lacked the speed and flair that he had pre-injury.

Buddy Ryan never seemed to think all that much of Wes, but Wes keep beating out all the "improvements" Ryan brought in to replace Wes.

Years later Here is what Buddy said about Wes when asked. Guy could hit harder than anyone I ever coached. And I've had some pretty good ones. Buddy said Wes could not tackle despite repeated attempts to teach him. Buddy may have been cantankerous but knew how to teach and have his players carry out his teachings and history showed it to be true

Damn money hungry bastards, I clicked on the thread to read the story and up pops an advertisement, for the Eagles no less. No dignity at all, even for their own. Sign of the times I guess.
