Haven't followed Journey in a long time but watching their performance with a substitute lead looked like karaoke night at the club. And wow - ashamed to admit I was so unfamiliar with Nile Rogers - what a huge talent.

Lenny Kravitz was great - dude could be the next Prince - if he could write like him...

Wow - Pearl Jam - haven't bought a record from them since Vitalogy - but they kick SO. MUCH. ASS.

And Letterman's intro - just awesome.

I enjoyed the show, but couldn't disagree more about Letterman. He made it less about PJ and more about his relationship with them, and of course his typical stupid silly jokes. I thought it was a shameful introduction for them. Then of course EV couldn't leave politics out of it, which is why I stere clear of them nowadays. That being said, as much as I disagree with EV, PJ's set was amazing.

Never was a big Letterman fan to be honest but the letter to his kid was great. And Vedder and politics is just gonna happen - I'm fine with it but dude has been at it for three decades - could probably chill for a night.

They did a great job filming Roundabout, strong performance from the band. Geddy Lee nailed it and looked like he was having a blast. Chris would have been proud. Happy to see Alan playing so well after his recent back surgery.

At the 3:05 mark Steve says something into the mic and it made Jon laugh. Pretty cool to see since both have been apart for so long. Maybe there is hope for a reunion down the road. Anything is possible with these guys.

bummed that I missed it. a busy weekend -- my loss. appreciate the comments, Midnighter.

Been playing all weekend - really worth checking out. Was having a cocktail and sort of just saying whatever I was thinking. I only caught the second half so missed Journey and Yes.

Was great seeing the resplendent Gail Ann Dorsey on bass, just wish it was with her old/real boss. I actually found something to enjoy in just about all of the induction intros. Some were restrained, like Jackson Browne's for Joan Baez. Some were very heartfelt like young Harrison's for ELO, and Snoop was pretty funny for Tupac bringing up some head scratching visuals like him and Tupac parasailing. I wasn't overly impressed with the Yes or Journey intros as they both seemed to be exactly what you thought they would be focused on the length for each to gain induction. Letterman was pretty much what you expected as well, focused on his personal relationship with EV.

Considering that none of the inductees was really ever in my favs, I thought the music was more than acceptable. I actually liked the ELO segment.

Rick Wakeman's comments were quite crazy as well.
