FC:Reactions from EX-Players on twitter

Franklin seems to embrace the history of PSU football and I'm sure he'll hear the rumblings of former players after that abortion of a game. I know coaching jobs are all about networking and friendships but Franklin may need to bust some figurative heads on the coaching staff. The offense was an embarrassment to all current and former PSU players.

Or maybe a hand full of Pro and EX-PSU P-L-A-Y-E-R-S. I don't even get what your implying.

I'm implying that reacting (or overreacting in this case) to what anyone posts on a social media site in less than 140 characters including anything but vivid context is the epitome of stupidity.

Those players are upset because Franklin is favorable to those players he brought in even though they are young (and obviously not ready to play) instead of the veteran players who have stuck with the program

They seem to be getting their point across pretty good in under 140 characters.

And that point is what? I could just as easily look at Smith's Tweet and say "This exact reason" is a reference to fans bashing players that are busting their asses and not wanting to deal with that headache anymore.

If this is a rallying call to play Carter more, I'm all for it...but unless he could turn into Mike Munchak and have a couple of Jeff Hartings along the line to boot, Carter has no better chance of getting the ball than any other TE b/c Hack is more likely to be running for his life or eating the football.

All the rumblings may make Franklin answer the tough question! What the hell is Donovan doing?????? I doubt it will be public, but it better be answered in the office. OR he will be stubborn and take the whole dang ship down.. Taking water as we speak

Yeah, I buy that.... reacting to the fans instead of the obvious TERRIBLE loss......

And if it isn't clear to you, TE's are for blocking.......

Our OL can't even line up right. Did anyone notice the splits versus Temples? Pathetic. Looked like bad HS football.

Anyone can take from a social media fart whatever you want. If Donovan Smith is indeed blasting the staff, and by extension his own former teammates for their performance than I can honestly say I don't give two cents what he decides to regurgetate on his social media account.

He is going to have to clarify a wide open tweet like that at some point.

I am more interested in what Tyrone Smith is talking about. Seems to me JF is a best players on the field kind of guy.

I blame it all on Joe. Joe put together a team that should have played in the NC game of 2012, but we didn't because he refuses to fire Jay. Our team continues to get worse ever since. Our offense is terrible and Jay needs to go. What is really killing us is Joe's recruiting. If we had any other coach here, we could bring in 5 star talent from across the country.

I know the real reason we lost today is that Joe would not allow key players to play just because they missed a class. Let's face it, Joe cares too much about the kids and not enough about football.

Mark my words, once we get rid of Joe we win start winning National Championships again.

I don't know enough to comment on the tweet about playing favorites with starters rather than the best players but can't say I disagree with any of the other tweets listed there.
