it works out for him!!!

Fordham:
VMI offensive line coach Tommy Galt has accepted the same role at Fordham, source tells FootballScoop. Galt had just joined the VMI staff in January after serving as an offensive line grad assistant at Penn State this past season.

wow- that's odd
you are seeing this more and more, and in the pros as well. Denver hired a guy to be Asst OL coach, 2 weeks later, he's off to San Fran to be the OL coach. Back when BO'B (FLO) was here, he hired Anthony Midget as a DB coach. Well the ink wasn't dry on the contract Anthony had signed with Marshall the previous week!! In fact, I don't think Anthony ever actually made it to Huntington to have his cup of coffee!! He had like 3 jobs in 4 days!

Didn't Sarkisian agree to replace Kiffin permanently, and then he announced he was leaving?

This is because former PSU GA Tyler Bowen was the oline coach at Fordham and was just hired by Maryland. Therefore the Fordham job became open and then they hired Galt.

It extends beyond that. Given the level of loyalty that employers show to their employees, anyone who isn't constantly looking out for his or her own welfare is future corporate roadkill.

hey I never blamed Midget, IIRC he was going to be paid like $75k at MU, and the next week, PSU offered $150K, so who wouldn't leave after a week with a salary double? And further, who would expect them to stay?

Didn't say that you did. Midget managed to parlay that move into his current position with the Texans where, I'm sure, he's making nice coin. The only advice I'd give him is watch your back.

This. Corporate world is pretty brutal now-a-days. Some accountant somewhere says the SG&A is too high and need to downsize, the management is told to cut X% of people and they have to do it. ANd it isn't just the 'worst' employees who get cut anymore. Can be high quality employees because they have a higher salary and they need to cut salary. Could be they think they can gap your job responsibility with an outsourced contractor or from another office. Could be somebody just doesn't like you for not a good reason so they put you on the list. Tough to be loyal in today's world when Company's are not loyal to employees.

Couldn't agree more. Was hammered at two corps. within five years. One was sold so the new management decided to cut $$$. The second as you noted was a personality conflict I never understood. The guy just took an averse position to me for some unknown reason. Sadly, six months after he got me, they got him. Accounting decided to look at his expenses, boom, his sugar daddy couldn't protect him anymore. It happens all the time. Loyalty is a one way street and it you have it you had better be looking at who is gunning for you. We live in a sad world that doesn't value dependability, performance or loyalty. Just the dollar sign or contemptible attitudes of some king maker. Best keep your eyes open friends.
