I think now it's clearly a problem. 5 for 11 overall, less than 50% for the year, and today a miss from inside of 20 yards. Snaps seemed good today, holds by Billy were fast and accurate, another breakdown on blocking, and a shank on the other. FG team is having a bad year, but Franklin has shown an ability to fix problems in his three plus years here. He now faces a problem that he needs to fix. Hopefully he does this.

in close defensive games, FG is critical. we were nearly perfect last year, but an issue this year. i think last year was a magical year with FG team. hope this gets corrected.

Same spot of the line protection is where the block came from again today. Not sure why we are failing to block the closest player and let the wider guy go if the dilemma exists, but it's happening. I think they even changed players in that spot and got the same result.

Last year was one off the all-time great years in PSU FG kicking history.....this year is one of the very very worst in our history. Didn't see that coming.....

Another look shows that there were issues on blocking but that the kick was very very low, and wouldn't have had a chance even if not blocked. There are issues and Franklin has vowed to clean them up, but now he really needs to clean them up, and sooner rather than later.

I think now you’re clearly a moron.

That is a tough angle for a right footed kicker.

Yea, Jack was saying how tough an angle it was going to be.
I was surprised that they didn't take a penalty to move it back?
Not sure what went on with the block, if it was a low kick or not.
Was it the same spot as the Iowa block?
I also saw that someone was very, very late getting back on field for the XP after Barkleys Kick return.
One thing I took notice at during the game is that the long snapper and Fessler and Davis were on the side line practicing their snap and hold.

Clearly a problem? You are very perspicacious.

This might sound trivial to some - Tyler Yazujian, I believe, was the deep snapper for four years. He was almost flawless. There have been some bad snaps on FGs this year too - at least 3 that I can remember.

Good point. It appeared to me on yesterdays block that the trajectory was low. Also, the right wingback blocked out and allowed an inside rush...pretty fundamental mistake.

Talked to a guy who was at the Iowa game. He told me TD missed 5 out of 7 from the 25 in warm ups, off the tee.
