See link above. Sequel to a piece from June on Kotelnicki's heavy usage of presnap movement at Kansas and the effect it had/has on both offenses and defense. This video touches upon the same talking points but shows the benefit they've had thus far at Penn State instead of Kansas. In fact, Kotelnicki's reliance on presnap movement is a few percentage points higher at Penn State midway through 2024 than it was at Kansas in 2023.

For all of the potential advantages gained by shifted, I'm going to say one thing that isn't obvious, but essentially makes all of this work as well as it does:

We have not been plagued by false starts nor illegal formation/shifts. The ability to accomplish all of this and not have penalties set us back is perhaps the biggest positive of all.
