See Link. So I counted...this is the 7th Clifford-centric video we've done in the 3 years we've been doing these and it's amazing how little has changed. Same issues Codutti highlighted in Oct 2020 using Clifford's 2019 UM tape are the same issues that show up in this video - poor pocket presence, slow reads/progressions, wrong RPO reads. They're always interesting videos because there's so much to be critical of lol. For the most part, he was the same guy in 2019 that he was in 2022...but when it mattered he got the job done for the most part.

Yawn. Might be the worst one yet. In at least two of those situations when he says Clifford should have thrown the ball there's a defender in the way.

"He had a really up and down day". 80% completion percentage, only 5 incomplete passes, 4 TD, 0 INT.

On to the next victim (QB) for PSU Football Fanboys to "critique,"
After all "we deserve better."

I don't really understand the reason for this at this time. SC played the best fourth quarter, perhaps, in his career going 13 for 13 down the stretch. SC has been very streaky and Saturday was a great example of that. I would imagine you can make this same video for every QB who's ever played by simply picking up his good or bad plays to make the point you want.

SC is who he is. We've seen four years of it. It isn't a mystery. He is a plucky, great leader who isn't physically gifted. He's been a good QB for PSU in several years when his team and staff didn't perform well through a global pandemic. He's not ever going to be a playmaker, he's a game manager.

I love the kid and feel like his mental commitment to PSU and the game is as good as it gets. If you can get his brain into Allar, we've got an all-american.

All true, he was a pretty good college qb .

Yeah, the outcome of the game was actually in doubt vs Sparty and Clifford delivered in the clutch.

Lest we forget, he did exactly that against Purdue also. Who knows how the season might have gone if PSU loses that 1st game.

We can welcome the new guy while honoring the achievements of the outgoing player.
