It seems to be one of the worst kept secrets that Isheem Young is committing tomorrow afternoon. So with that we are down to 5 scholarships. We still have a lot of moving parts that could cause things to change or shift; the addition of Jake Pinegar yesterday really tightened things up. Below is how I see this potentially shaking out.
1. P.J. Mustipher
2. Aeneas Hawkins
3. Jayson Oweh
4. Rasheed Walker
5. Micah Parsons
I think the quick reaction is I didn't place a 4th WR in the group. If you look at our scholarship roster, we have a nice group of young wideouts. I think Enis or Dotson would be a great get, but seems to be more of a luxury at this point with SAB, and George along side Shorter. That basically goes hand-in-hand with Hawkins getting the scholarship, if you look at our DT group it's a thinner group then WR. Adding in another top DT would be huge.
I think you have to save 2 spots for Oweh and Parsons and basically take those down to the wire. Oweh mentions he wants to hopefully have this wrapped up in a few weeks, I'm hoping distance and playing time could help Penn State.
Then you drag along Bradley, Enis, Dotson and others to fill in spots if we miss out on any above or potentially have a decommit. Regardless, how it plays out it seems like we are in pretty good shape. Hopefully having all these commits can also play dividends into us keeping our 2018 class in tact but also really start to hit the 2019 class hard and get that ball rolling as well.
