Agreed. I wrote something similar over on Intermat. Nolf is never going to beat Kyle Dake in a low scoring match. That plays into Dake's strengths and allows him to play defense and hold center. Which will, in turn, get Nolf put on the clock.Perhaps an unpopular position :
Nolf probably my favorite PSU wrestler of all-time but can’t help but be disappointed with that effort.
I know Dake is an all-time great, but you’ve trained for over a year, just for him, and you’re gonna lose 2 straight without even scoring a point? Rather you get tech’d going for it — just do something.
I am really happy for the kid. Overcoming his addiction to reach his goal is a noteworthy achievement; especially at this level.Wouldn’t be surprised if Marsteller wins next two.
Actually, at the arena where the crowd is 80% Yianni. The replay they showed on the Jumbotron clearly showed exposure. Most of the Yianni fans agreed.
This is his THIRD straight win over YD. They can now quit saying that the first win was a "fluke."This kid is becoming my favorite wrestler. Is there anything he can't do. Go nick
Not one hiccup for me on ROKU TV.10 times a year max I need Flo to work correctly and they can’t even give me that much. Absolutely garbage company.
I clearly felt Nolf's tension in his Flo interview over Dake coming to NLWC. And, Nolf is not one to generally show a lot of emotion.I understand the NLWC wanting to be the best it can be, but man it would suck if Nolf opts to look elsewhere so as to not be in the same room as Dake in the lead up to the Olympics
Unbelievable how Chance kept both feet in for that throw. When you run it in slow motion you think there is no way Chance can avoid stepping out.
Hello Mr Nolf. Welcome to David Taylor's old world. The Nolf deal is such a weird and must be very frustrating situation because he has the skill but Dake is just equally skilled as well as stronger and more athletic
Yep. in his most recent Flo interview, he said he had "grown" and felt it a struggle to get to weight.Brooks looks big out there. Don’t think 197 will be much of an issue next year.
O Face:I know right? Not very familiar with Freestyle but what's the rule about fish hooking someone's butthole? For someone all about The Good Book, you'd think he'd keep his hands off another man's O-ring.
That's OK. Hold on tightly!Zahid has no business gassing at this level. Think of the gas tanks at this level and Zahid is gassing like a middle schooler. I want to let it go but he never seems to put the work in.
Dake has that man strength that nolf just can't match
Not sure why you mentioned me in this comment. Am I missing something? You're an idiot. (Sorry @NCPsuFan , this is merited.)
This aged very well!Wouldn’t be surprised if Marsteller wins next two.
From a recent post of mine: Recent Flo interview with Aaron regarding his upcoming matches against David. His talk about his weight caught my attention. He mentioned his walking around weight is in the 203 range and how he will never wrestle 184 again. He said he has grown a lot lately. For all the talk of how, relatively speaking, Penn State wrestlers cut less weight than others, I am still surprised how much weight many wrestlers still cut. I did not realize Aaron cut that much. I definitely noticed more muscle on Aaron this year.Yep. in his most recent Flo interview, he said he had "grown" and felt it a struggle to get to weight.

Nolf doesn't have to like it. The goal of the NLWC is to be the best wrestling club in the world. It is to be the best place to train for wrestling in the world. To accomplish that goal, it cannot turn down a talent like Dake. Dake also brings a lot to NLWC, he is a brilliant technician and tactician, holds his space, and has a lot of unique training modalities. NLWC can learn from Dake and incorporate some it with their existing philosophies.I clearly felt Nolf's tension in his Glo interview over Dake coming to NLWC. And, Nolf is not one to generally show a lot of emotion.
Don't know why it was needed, the coverage from Flo was outstanding.Digger - Thanks for picking up the slack and doing the PBP tonight. Good job.
Ozark, no weddings April 19 -20, 2024!Why, why did we let Ozark go that wedding !!
Other than a World Title, he has gotten worse. How does someone actually rationalize saying something like this?Salty Iowa fan on Facebook:

Post #392JB also had a nice hold of the singlet that wasn't called
I believed his minimal match schedule last year was due to that weight cut. From a recent post of mine: Recent Flo interview with Aaron regarding his upcoming matches against David.
