If you're happy with 9/10 win seasons and never winning the big game, then Franklin is your guy for the next 8 years.

I'm really not for starting fresh and have no idea who would replace him, but his tenure will continue to welcome to permanent above average, but non-championship seasons for the duration of his contract.

As long as fans are comfortable with a second-tier team year after year, then keep the guy, but I'd like to witness one more national championship in my lifetime.

His assessment is correct. It's not about what the fans deserve or not. I wonder what people like Pat Kraft and lettermen like Todd Blackledge, Jack Ham, etc think about always being second tier. Meaning good to very good but never elite and never beating an elite team and never really coming close to a NC. That is what we have with Franklin and things won't change. He is what he is at this point.
