damn, I've been looking for this for over a week, but seem to have missed it. Foley mentioned that it was released, so that caused me to redouble my efforts, and I finally located it. The RPI is through Feb. 15th. You can access it at this link.

The PSI rankings of PSUers are below.

Tom

125: Conaway - 8th
133: Gulibon - 2nd
141: Moss - 30th
149: Beitz - 13th
157: no PSUers
165: Hammond - 16th
174: Brown - 3rd
184: McCutcheon - 16th
197: McIntosh - 2nd
285: no PSUers

Who did these rankings Tom?
They don't list Clark,Moore,or Evans.
They list Kelly at 4 (has to be a joke)
They Jevba at 4 which is to high also.
Just curious. Thanks for posting.

a few things ...

RPI isn't a ranking, at least in the traditional sense. It's more like a strength of schedule. I believe it's:

1. your win percentage, times
2. you opponents' win percentage, times
3. you opponents' opponents' win percentage

also, the Iowa guys that are missing is because they don't have enough matches against D1 wrestlers. I think you have to have 17 matches against D1 wrestlers. Most of the Iowa guys have more than 17 matches, but several of them have too many matches that are not against D1 wrestlers. My suspicion is that the RPI threshold of 17 will be reached for most of the Iowa wrestlers by their participation in the National Duals.

Hope that helps.

Tom

Yes somewhat lol seems like Foley says looks kinda funny in a way.
I'm really not much of a ranking fan really have to do it on the mat.
Most of these Div 1 guys on any given day can beat someone.
Thanks again Tom for explaining it to me.

Everything here is right on, Tom. Only one additional point, the 17 matches MUST be in the weight class they are designated to wrestle in.

To put this into perspective, in the bigger picture... the Win % (8 matches required in the designated weight class), and the Coaches Ranking (5 matches) are the other 2 (of the 3) metrics used by the wrestling committee to determine conference allocations. It's not unusual at all to have guys not listed on the RPI to earn slots for their conference. 2 of the 3 still earn a Silver Standard.

Not sure about wrestling, but I assume it's the same formula used for basketball, which is as follows:

RPI = (WP * 0.25) + (OWP * 0.50) + (OOWP * 0.25),

where
WP = your win percentage
OWP = your opponents' win percentage
OOWP = your opponents' opponents' win percentage
