And the snapper and holder remain invisible. - until there's a flub.I've got no delusions on starting QB but am happy we appear to have good depth.
my biggest concern, at this time, is placekicker. it appears the DT situation has improved but PK is completely unproven and until you can do it in front of 107k fans and a national TV audience, it is a concern.
Gotta say, if our biggest concern right now is the unknown at placekicker.…it should be a fun year.I've got no delusions on starting QB but am happy we appear to have good depth.

So no qb, depth, no dline, oline is a huge question mark, no safeties, no wide receivers, and a questionable special teams. Do I have that correct? Christ, we may only win 4 games this year, if we are lucky.I am not buying Pribula as being a high ceiling QB, at least not in this offense. I think he is a very low ceiling QB that should probably transfer. He lacks arm talent no unlike a previous #9, however, the previous #9 had Joe Moorhead to design an offense to maximize his strengths and minimize his weaknesses. Pribula has no such luxury. If Allar goes down for any amount of time, we are going to lose games. Many of them. Pribula = Roberson. He may be better prepared but preparation was only a small part of Roberson's problem when Clifford went down. The biggest question mark at QB is how close will Allar get to his potential as a first year starter?
Defensive tackle is not the only question mark on the defense. Safety is a major question mark given how poorly Franklin's staff has recruited the position. We have some nice pieces at tackle, but they all seem to be situational guys. This looks like the lowest level of talent we have had at the position since joining the Big Ten.
I am more worried about the quality of the starting receivers than depth at this point. We lack talent at this position as well. Cephus was the second best receiver on his team last year. Lambert-Smith has neither shown consistency nor agility to be a legit X which leaves Wallace as our presumed #1. Given the fairly low results we have had over the years despite a shocking number of scholarships committed to the position, receiver is a major question mark.
The entire offensive line remains a question mark. Olu has tremendous potential, even though it wasn't on display against Michigan or Ohio State. the rest of the line remains in transition.
Special teams will be reliable, or they will not. That is the story of Penn State football. I don't think I have ever seen us have truly good or truly bad special teams. We are are usually solid everywhere with a few weak or strong spots. I see no reason to think otherwise.
Pribula was a high 3* which is slightly higher than McSorely. He had respectable offers from schools like WVa, VT, Cuse, and Nebraska. He's not a top 10 ranked QB but you might be selling him short.I am not buying Pribula as being a high ceiling QB, at least not in this offense. Wow. One day of practice and Debbie Downer rains on everyone's parade. So no qb, depth, no dline, oline is a huge question mark, no safeties, no wide receivers, and a questionable special teams. Do I have that correct? Christ, we may only win 4 games this year, if we are lucky.
We don't have QB depth, we have lower than normal talent at D-Tackle but we have some solid players, most of the niche variety, safety will be a question mark until proven otherwise (Every DB that comes from the Franklin pipeline that has played safety has been below average, Brown and Brisket who were established JUCO players are the exception), the O-line remains in transition, receiver has been mostly miss for as long as Franklin has been in Happy Valley. Those are our big weaknesses. I presently have us winning 9 games. If Allar went down in September, I would revise that down closer to four or five very quickly unless Smolik comes in an is ready to play.So no qb, depth, no dline, oline is a huge question mark, no safeties, no wide receivers, and a questionable special teams. I am not selling Pribula short, he is suited to play in the current offense. Nothing more, nothing less. If JoeMo were here, let him run with it. His lack of arm talent flies off the film when you watch him throw, just like Trace. He is built to be in a run first spread offense using short easy passes and the occasionally arm punt. As far as the BMW goes, who cares, somebody drafted Tim Tebow in the first round. Even successful people have bouts of pure stupidity.Pribula was a high 3* which is slightly higher than McSorely. Besides, somebody thinks enough of him to give him a BMW.
Who pissed in your Wheatley’s this morning 😆So no qb, depth, no dline, oline is a huge question mark, no safeties, no wide receivers, and a questionable special teams. Do I have that correct? Christ, we may only win 4 games this year, if we are lucky.
