Just to note that a temporary injunction is just that, temporary until however many days the judge decided, a number often limited or fixed by statute, until the underlying dispute can be fully heard. It's not surprising to see a judge grant a TRO request to a plaintiff who can make out a plausible cause of action, which the facts here suggest exists. Willie and Rokfin's defense was probably always going to be about the validity of the non-compete, which most judges wouldn't be confident enough to invalidate at an initial hearing.

As for Willie's response to Flo, I have a suggestion:.
Two weeks and then I'll guess they'll have another hearing to decide whether the injunction becomes permanent (in this case I think that would mean a year from the time it was first enforced) or whether they dismiss the suit. Or whether they drag it out for longer and extend the TRO for another few weeks.
Travis County Clerk has a transcript from yesterday, which might give us a clue as to which way the court is leaning, but it costs $197 and my curiosity stops far short of $197.

And is the transcript what the person typing in the movies does?
Because the Travis County court evidently has an arcane system for cataloging documents and so requests for documents require the intervention of an actual human, instead of digitizing everything immediately and making it available online (like the federal PACER system). State courts are all over the place on this, some great, some embarrassing. Travis County is the latter. The reason a transcript costs so much more than a normal document is probably b/c there's a per-page cost (and transcripts can be hundreds of pages, depending on how long the hearing was) plus perhaps a fee going to the stenographer.

It's probably not worth it because it was an injunction request and the standard in TX is pretty low. Most states require plaintiffs seeking an injunction to show a "likelihood of success on the merits" but not Texas, so the discussion was probably mostly about the certainty of the hypothetical harm Flo would suffer if not granted its injunction. But there probably was some discussion about the mechanics of what Flo alleged Willie did with respect to removing the the rankings and posting them at Rokfin. Pure speculation on my part but I think had Willie not provided Flo that easy ammo, Flo might not have gotten its TRO.

Honestly, and obviously my opinion, but this is absolute nonsense. A judge literally telling an American they cannot write about a subject.
Nomad is great. Willie is great, too, but Nomad is a very underrated member of FRL.
Just my opinion, but Nomad can be tiresome. A little self-important for my taste. Glad Askren is coming aboard, if only so Nomad gets less air time.

I like Nomad for the most part but thought this was relevant.
It was stupid. She took to Twitter and made no real specific accusation. CP stood up for his co worker. I see no issue with it. I wouldn't even say he was passive aggressive. He was forthright in his saying it was ridiculous.
I never get why people use "bias" in the pejorative. All of Flo's on-air guys express opinion and are therefore biased. The relevant question is whether their opinions are supported or unfair. To my ear Nomad always supports his opinions with reason and fact. Dismissing him as "biased" is empty.
Agreed..only thing that rubs me the wrong way at Flo is Spey's rankings because I feel he doesn't put time or thought in to them.
Nomad..to me, he is 24/7 wrestling. I admire people that passionate about what they do.
Yeah, personally I wish Nomad would concentrate solely on writing content. He does know his stuff, just don't enjoy listening to him on FRL. The addition of Askren should help with that though. He's not afraid to talk, lol. Ben is good on podcasts, plus he'll get the HR crowd riled up on occasion, which is always entertaining.
Still miss Willie though.

Happy New Year to you as well Spey! Nothing personal, and maybe I was a little harsh saying you don’t put much thought into your rankings. I just never find myself agreeing with them. Your rankings are just results, where as some other outlets use common sense and results.
Thankfully we have more than one outlet to find rankings
