A wise man in college preached it's quality not quantity.

While he wasn't talking wrestling, I was reminded of that phrase when looking at their resumes.

Jordan Ellingwood is ranked? 184 has thinned out 12-20.

They missed on Laike Gardner.

I will have to look up what criteria needs to be present for the Hodge Trophy winner.

As far as furthering interest for wrestling to the masses Nolf is the hands down winner, for me anyway.

Overall, this is fair. But, as mentioned above, they overlooked Zain pinning the number 9 (according to their own rankings) wrestler. And why should Dean get credit for the NWCA All-Star Classic win over Myles Martin? The match doesn't count as an NCAA match, so I don't see why it should factor into Hodge considerations. Plus if you count it, he's 13-0, not 12-0. So they are counting it in his "elite" wins, but not his overall record.

I guess I'd look at it the other way -- Why wouldn't he get credit? It's a significant tournament, they wrestled and Dean won. The Hodge Award isn't an NCAA award, so there's no reason to consider only NCAA matches.

Whether it counts or not it occurred. Gave Dean is obliterating his competition and to be fair he's had the toughest opponents if you will. Long season and plenty of time for our Big 3 but you can't take away Deans wins & domination to this point.

Need Bo to beat Dean and that will probably open it up for Zain who I think will tech/pin all in front of him. Maybe 1-2 majors if he has off night against Sorenson or Collica.

I'm sure there will be grousing over a certain 125-lber not making the first cut . . . the existing hate for Flo could boil over if he remains undefeated into February.

One guy who will probably deserve a mention by then -- NaTo.
