from the moment the Superbowl ends. Is the XFL any real option? Also, why do they have 2 teams from Texas and none from the Northeast. The closest is DC and the only things I associate with DC are corrupt politicians and horrible traffic. Is there even a team there that you could root for if you wanted to try?

probably not worth a new thread but was reading the several GMs are very interested in Gesicki. The notion is that he is very unique and wasn't schemed for correctly. At almost 6-6, just under 250 lbs, and with an 82" wingspan he is pretty unique. He also runs a 4.5 40.

He had a so-so 2022 so some think he can be a value pickup. He's also never had a major injury.

I think he may be a bargain in the right situation and offensive philosophy. When I watched the Dolphins, it seemed their QB was having problems throwing to the sidelines...would seem Gesecki could help there.

I watched the Purdue game on my DVR the other day. It helps me with the withdrawal symptoms. I totally forgot about Abdul Carter getting tossed from the game for that bogus targeting call on his first play of the game. Also remember Keyvon Lee with a couple nice runs and of course the game winning TD. I usually keep 3 or 4 games from every season in addition to some of the B1G 60 minute playbacks.

It is, IMHO, the worst sports week of the year

• no football, of course
• too long NBA season, with weird NBA all-star game, is boring
• too long NHL season with the meaningless middle-of-the-season games
• MLB kaput with pitchers and catchers working out in spring training
• NCAA basketball where every team not named "Penn state" makes a tournament
• Not yet "march madness"
• bad weather

XFL and USFL. At least one of those have to fail.

IMO those should be the minor leagues and college football should go back to amateur. Of course that will never happen.

I remember Sean Fitz talking about how excited he was to watch Abdul before the season started. You gotta admit that we have some good reporters that cover PSU. Fitz, Pickel, Ryan Snyder, Tyler Donohue, etc...
