I think it is a natural emotion, to get real pissed about the UpYours State bozos being placed on the Board.

But, to me, this was a very good day, good meeting, and - really - a good couple weeks.

1st: The UpYours State bozos (and the other sycophants):

I am probably less irate than some - not because I despise these a-holes any less - but because what happened today REALLY happened back in the fall of 2014.
When the Scoundrels passed their "A+ Proposal", we all knew who was going to fill those additional sycophant seats (not the names, but what kind of people they would be). So I was REALLY pissed back then.....but today it was just completing the bookkeeping aspects.

2nd: It has been obvious for some time, that rescuing Penn State from the Cabal of Scoundrels was going to take legislative action. In that regard, every time the OG gives a big "FU" to all of us Penn Staters (like they did with the Salvino and UpYours State appointments), it actually helps our cause (it will help the cause even more if all of the folks who are pissed off will channel that passion into soliciting their Senators/Reps to support Board reform)

On the topic of Board reform, I think there is significant progress being made. Several of us had some discussions at the BOT meeting today. We don't all see eye-to-eye on all of the issues - and that is good. But the overall goals are the same - we want our University freed from the Pirates. I believe if we keep the overall goal in mind, and continue to work at it, we are getting closer and closer to achieving at least part of that mission.....and I believe that the coming weeks are going to be even brighter.

3rd: The role of the Elected Trustees is getting stronger and stronger. In recent weeks we have seen strong stands taken against the Scoundrels.......Freeh File requests, Demands for Equal Treatment, The determination to exhaust all means available - including "taking them to court" when necessary. These are all good signs.....very good signs.

4th: The Scoundrels are flat out scared....and desperate. Their actions today, both during the meetings and after, show us just how desperate they have become.

5th: Personally (and I desperately DO NOT want this to turn into a political statement) I have felt that Wolf was at least sympathetic. He certainly was - from a PSU BOT issue perspective - 100,000,0000 times better than Corbett. We got a couple glimpses of that today: 1- with the actions of the Cabinet members in "abstaining" and 2 - With the move by Kathleen Casey (which showed that she obviously knew Wolf was not about to retain her), and the fact that Rucci should be packing his bags soon. Good things to come, I believe, wrt the Governor's impact.

6th: The Paterno Suit - while not directly related to the BOT issue - passed a significant hurdle today. For those folks who truly desire truth and illumination, every step supporting discovery is a god thing.

And, it was just nice to see both The Bloviator and the Ex-Con losing their marbles this week. You know THEY are feeling the heat.....AND....Couldn't happen to a nicer pair of scoundrels.

So, all-in-all, I think we are entering one of the brightest Springs in a long, long time.

Hang in there!!!!

Any questions.....feel free to ask

Please explain what you mean here (I assume you mean Eckel and Dambly but how did they lose marbles?)

I think he might be referring to this (from ps4rs facebook):

Attacked by President Barron..... Xxxxx and I we're walking out of the Trustees meeting when Dr. Barron yelled at our backs: 'You people have to stop this! " He accused us of only saying negative things about the university and the students. I asked if he heard what I said about the students in the public comment session. He thought I said that the student trustee shouldn't be confirmed. What I actually said was that they shouldn't HAVE to be confirmed....that their selection should be final. I offered to sit down with him to talk about our views and he yelled, "NO WAY! "

He needs to learn that there is a difference between criticising an institution and criticising its leadership.

Thanks for the update. I attended the public comment session but was unable to stay for the afternoon meeting.

Bottom line is you lost whether it was today or in 2014. Glad you're not irate and can deal with defeat.

The politicians in Harrisburg are going to listen to the big contributors and special interests who fund their campaigns. Good luck getting more than a hundred "pissed off" participants from this forum to get off their butts and contact their representatives. Perhaps you haven't been reading their posts but many have reached the tipping point, given up and thrown in the towel just as I predicted they would quite some time ago.

On the topic of Board reform, I think there is significant progress being made. Specifically where/how? Several of us had some discussions at the BOT meeting today. We don't all see eye-to-eye on all of the issues - and that is good. But the overall goals are the same - we want our University freed from the Pirates. I believe if we keep the overall goal in mind, and continue to work at it, we are getting closer and closer to achieving at least part of that mission.....and I believe that the coming weeks are going to be even brighter. Hope springs eternal does it? LOL!

The only thing those court petitions accomplished was emptying the pockets of a few trustees and making them look like petulant children. The trustee election went off on time and some of the dissidents were stopped from having their names added to the AA ballots. Yep those are very good signs.........but not for you.

4th: The Scoundrels are flat out scared....and desperate. Their actions today, both during the meetings and after, show us just how desperate they have become.

LMAO! What universe do you live in. It's the dissidents who are scared and desperate as evidenced by their court petitions which failed miserably.

5th: Personally (and I desperately DO NOT want this to turn into a political statement) I have felt that Wolf was at least sympathetic. He certainly was - from a PSU BOT issue perspective - 100,000,0000 times better than Corbett. Wolf like other politicians will eat at the financial table that feeds him.

6th: The Paterno Suit - while not directly related to the BOT issue - passed a significant hurdle today. For those folks who truly desire truth and illumination, every step supporting discovery is a god thing.

All the judge's ruling did was reset the clock for more delaying tactics by FSS.

And, it was just nice to see both The Bloviator and the Ex-Con losing their marbles this week. You know THEY are feeling the heat.....AND....Couldn't happen to a nicer pair of scoundrels.

I asked Keith to blow you a kiss at the end of the meeting. Did he or did the sergeant at arms escort you from the room before he could?

So, all-in-all, I think we are entering one of the brightest Springs in a long, long time.

Hang in there!!!!

Hey Jimmy Olsen cub reporter....... with this feeble effort you're never going to become the editor of the Centre Daily Times, The Penn Stater Magazine, The Daily Collegian, or even BWI. You need to step up the quality of your reporting otherwise you'll forever remain in the shadows of Clark Kent and Perry White.

Oh, and one last thing, the answer is still NO!

Curious if there are any bills in the legislature on BOT reform, or are they just blowing smoke. Seems that by now, there should have been something formulated.

As for politicians and money, it didn't work for Corbett or his cronies. Corbett lost reelection and the Republicans lost the AG office. Money may buy BOT positions, but it no longer insures the buying of state elections. All the BOt elite has done is stuff the ballot box in their favor. PSAA has done the same thing. The people aren't as stupid as other's may think.

LOL

Given that the question was "is there any chance you might consider NOT being an anonymous, sycophantic toady"....I suppose your answer was predictable.

Keep on lickin' Mr CR.
