Love the podcasts Jim. Could you answer a question for me? Why do you do four separate podcasts each day? I get the four quarters idea, but it is difficult when driving to listen to the entire podcast. Any plans for combining the four?

Hi Nitnee - We break the show up that way for a few reasons:
- The show plays on the radio in several markets throughout Central PA. We need to have breaks for commercials
- We cover specific topics in each segment. By separating them we allow our listeners to go right to the topic they want to hear (and avoid a topic if they want)
- We also did some homework when we started as to the optimum length of a podcast and found 10-15 minutes as the sweet spot. I'm not sure if that's because of attention span or matches up with commute time for many listeners.

I remember listening to Ross when he first got into broadcasting, and thought “Ugh, this guy isn’t going to make it.” But I’m so glad I was wrong. He’s really worked hard to improve his craft and is very knowledgeable about other teams (loved the story of the Va Tech WR that started at Ball State as an RB). It’s nice hearing him cover for Dan Patrick every once in a while as well. Of course, what do I know; I’m just some wine guy from Lakewood Ranch, FL.

LOL! When you're recording without a script, it's easy to fall back on your own catch phrases. Greg is fully aware of his.

1. Select "details" beside the icon of the first KSN segment.
2. Then select the purple circle with the three dots (...) located opposite the "play" button.
A drop down list will appear.

Follow steps 1 and 2 for the 2nd segment, but then select "Play Later" from the drop down list.

Repeat the above for segments 3 and 4. They should now play sequentially without the need for further input.

Thanks Zenophile. I find it odd that the default on the App is to play the prior podcast versus the newer and have not been able to figure out how to always play the newer one. I believe this has to be done each time a new group of podcasts drop? Not easy to do when driving.

It does, and it surely is.

Typically I string a full lineup of podcast episodes together just prior to a roadtrip so that I don't have to monkey with it while I'm driving. If something of interest drops while you're on the road, you can always opt to insert it into your lineup with the "Play Next" feature.
