For Wrestling Fans-On BTNtoGo - IA vs OKSt Outdoors at FB Stadium 57 Degrees

Listen, he'd be battling with Suriano, Cortez, Nico (who likely will be in the NLWC), so I'm not buying the "he'd have better partners in the room" argument. Sorry, the room at Penn State is just as good.

You must be joking, thanks for the laugh

I honestly couldn't believe reading the comments about how he might commit while there. Listen, Iowa is a great program and obviously a national power but why would Spencer leave PA/Penn State when it has everything Iowa has and more? It just doesn't make logical sense to me. I guess a lot of the same arguments were made for Chance Marstellar at the time and he went but I still don't see Spencer leaving the Keystone State.

Nothing you read on the HR board should surprise you. They have passionate fans, though a number seem to have lost touch with reality. Some were seriously hoping that Lee would publicly announce (like, over the PA system) for Iowa at the Iowa-OkieSt dual today.

Where are those comments? I didn't see that from anyone being completely serious or anyone remotely credible. I was actually surprised there wasn't more of this from people talking out their ass
I read them in one of the HR threads on Lee. I can't vauge for how credible they are...you know your board way better than I do.

I don't think that Penn State has as good of workout partners in the lower weights as Iowa but I do think that they have very good guys that won't hinder Lee or Teasdale should they chose to attend Penn State. I'd put Ramos, Mcdonough, and Dennis ahead of anyone Penn State has. The Brands bros also have an Olympic gold, bronze and three world championship golds between them. Penn State has without a doubt the best upperweight training partners in the country and I think the same can be said for Iowa with the little guys. You can reach your potential at both places regardless of weight.

yes, but will they be there in a couple of years...

God will bring thunder snow and ice on your outdoor attempt. He is a Hawk fan! What a beautiful day it was to watch wrestling outside! Perfect

God thinks you are a dick. Get lost loser.

I for one hope Cal does go for the football stadium deal. With your population and great high school wrestling I'm sure u could get 50,000 to 60,000 fans what a way to promote the sport.

As for flying tiger question about Brooks that good yes he is. He was hurt last year going into Big Tens and NCAA. Got hurt in that dumb national duals thing.

60,000 sounds like a very doable number at Beaver Stadium, if combined with a Football Game.

Penn State generally gets that many and sometimes considerably more for the Spring Blue-White Game.

Actually, while that is a nice number, if they promoted it well on a home football weekend, against a good team, I'd be a bit surprised if they couldn't exceed 60,000.

Just guessing of course. Would depend a lot on the weather too. Must say, Iowa and OK St picked an absolutely wonderful November day for this match. That alone had to be a big boost for their attendance and may be very hard to match in other Big Ten locations in November.

Great day for College Wrestling. Plus, it was a very fun match to watch, with lots of talent and a cliff hanger ending. Congratulations to the Hawkeye and Okie State staffs and administrations for pulling this off so well. Well done!

That would be awesome if Penn State had 60,000 fans. Great for the sport and brings in more fans
