Not sure anyone noticed this, but a few seconds before ABC cut away from our game to go to the USC/BYU game, they showed Franklin turning around and running back about 10 yards to give Hamlin a big hug. Clearly Hamlin got Franklin's attention which is why Franklin turned around. Despite the fact that Hamlin rejected him and PSU, I thought it was a very nice gesture by Franklin to acknowledge him the way that he did. He simply could have just turned around and given a quick wave. Perhaps this kind of thing happens more frequently with coaches and former recruits than I notice, but I just found it interesting.
