he has success recruiting individuals. He sucks recruiting football players.
in game coaching and adjustments are non existent. Out smarted again by a offensive "wrinkle" for which they had no answer
Needs to recruit some coaches that can actually coach. This team and those of late seem to be missing something, and it seems like coaching.
With his focus on the offensive and defensive lines he cleary would be better suited for the MAC
Yeah his #6 rated recruiting class this year was awful. Keep chopping crap.
#6 at this point. I expect we will drop a couple of places when the 2022 recruiting class are finished. Even if we say at #6 they way ScUM got bitchslapped by GA shows how far away we are from making the CFP and actually competing. Pulling in a top 10 class every couple of year will not get it done.
If CJF is so damn good recruiting why do we have to dip into the portal/JUCO like we have over the past couple of years? 4 defensive starters from the portal/JUCO ranks tells me CJF isn't as good a recruiter as people like you want us to believe. Now I see posters on this board pining for more portal players to shore up the team.
Come on guys. Knock it off. They played well in the first half with the absence of 5 defensive starters and without Johan Dotson on offense. However, There are some questions I have. 1) Why did they stop with the quick offense that seemed to work. This nonsense of taking every second almost to the point of a penalty is absurd,. 2) If PSU is to succeed in the Big Ten, they MUST have an offensive line and 2 top DL tackles. If not, OSU and Michigan have our lunch every time they play. 3) Sean is a real "gamer" but he must move on. He will go in the 3 or 4 round of the NFL draft. Go, you did your time and played your heart out for PSU. Last, I had little expectations of a victory because of the opt outs. I know you find excuses for them. - but I do not.
Sean is a fighter but an ave QB at best. No way is he going to get drafted. Respectfully, no way.
Christ - let’s not exaggerate Michigan’s capability….we should have beat them this year without an oLine, a running game, or a competent in game coach.
If Clifford thought for a nano second he would be drafted in the 3/4 round, he would not be coming back. No one is drafting Clifford.
Why not he can not hit open receivers in college and throws into double coverage all the time that should translate great in the NFL.
I think that the lack of a back with breakaway speed was one of several components missing from the running game.
