Jim McKay >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> TiricoI miss the days of ABC coverage.
Wide World of Sports cliff diving from Acapulco was the best! I loved watching those guys. I was convinced I was going to see the biggest back smacker in history. Never happened.I grew up watching cliff diving on ABC, and it sure as hell wasn't some exclusive club.
NBC was more interested in stoking ratings via controversy than they were in showing athletic performances. Thus, they featured Megan Purplehair 20 times each night.
I think Steveson got more highlights coverage for his celebration flip than either he or DT got for their last-minute victories.NBC was more interested in stoking ratings via controversy than they were in showing athletic performances. Thus, they featured Megan Purplehair 20 times each night.
I didn't watch it but that doesn't surprise me. I was getting quite tired of all the Simon Biles drama. 😬Last night montage of the two weeks didn’t show Taylor or Stevenson once but showed biles 10 times.
For two weeks the NBC olympics coverage centered on Biles. Once she announced that she wasn't going to compete she should have been ignored. That would have allowed much more TV time for the athletes (like Taylor, Steveson, etc.) who wanted to be there.I didn't watch it but that doesn't surprise me. FWIW: I caught a montage last night w/o the set-up. Turns out it was all women athletes.Last night montage of the two weeks didn’t show Taylor or Stevenson once but showed biles 10 times.
I don’t know what you watched but last night closing montage was all athletes. No men’s wrestling.FWIW: I caught a montage last night w/o the set-up. Turns out it was all women athletes.
Saw one a couple days ago had a lot of quick clips, but DT's was a bit longer and he was the only one in the montage that spoke [his "gotta want to be here............ gold forever walk off bit]. So there's that.
Folks, they spent over $7billion for five Olympic cycles. Did you honestly expect them to not try and juice their ratings at every corner? It's not the first time it's been done and it will never be the last …
Great, not just HR, now we're going to talk about juicing too.Folks, they spent over $7billion for five Olympic cycles. Did you honestly expect them to not try and juice their ratings at every corner? It's not the first time it's been done and it will never be the last.
