On the trend of 3rd downs, we can also look at Penn State's passing on 3rd down and 7-9 yards to go. They are 20/24, 83.3% completion percentage, 317 yards, and a 208.03 rating with zero interceptions. The completion percentage and QB rating are both #1 in the country in this specific stat.

Sounds like cherry-picking. What about 5-6 yards to go? Or 10-12 yards?
