Flew up to NJ for a wedding and when we got into the reception last night I noticed they had a monster wedding band. 17 players to be exact. They had 7 singers. One of them was Shep Garner’s mom, Kim. When they took a break I went and said hello. We had a great chat. She said Shep is getting looks from a bunch of teams right now in the NBA. She told me the story about how she worked hard on getting all the Roman Catholic boys to all go to psu. Sounded like Chambers didn’t think it would happen but she told him don’t worry don’t worry we got this. She was really sweet and is a FANTASTIC performer and singer. The wedding was an Ohio state alum marrying a Wisconsin alum. Probably 50 buckeyes at this thing. Kim saw me later in the night on the dance floor and in the middle of one of the songs she sang she did a big We Are to which all the penn staters about 8 of us yelled Penn State. The Buckeyes there were not happy about it. She was great.
