I dont know if I should focus and talk about winning just the BigTen, or The National Championship. Plus I may mention certain things I've said in the past. Maybe you'll say is "obvious" or I'll be called "captain obvious" since that seems to be the new favorite word.
Anyways there is a simple formula winning in CFB: Coaching and Recruiting. It's that simple. (at least it seems)
Right now Penn State has recruited the 25th best class in 2104, 15th best 2015. Classes 2012 and 2013 produced some solid players at best. And the more the years go by the more will know if the coaches got it.
Evevn though OSU will probably have the best talent, as it seems they've had now the past ten years at least, I think by next season PSU should, (not saying they will be able to), be able to take a legitimate chance, by now!!
And now for the National Championship team. The only shot they have is to recruit like Bama and Ohio State, on a regular basis, every year singing a top 3 classes. For example not the 4th team one year, the 8th the next year, and the 7th the following year. Yeah, you could build a great team with those rankings, but the point is they are still not even close to what a Bama is. This is like a Pro Bowl NFL team playing a run of the mill avg. NFL team.
