I used to like this ranking. Sagarin did rank PSU #1 after the 1994 season....anyway.
This year's ranking seems to just be about score. Power of schedule is in there but looking at the 'top' of the Big Ten only it has
#5 Ohio State, SOS 61 - loss to MSU
#9 Michigan, SOS 50 - two losses
#15 Michigan State, SOS 48 - loss to NU but beat both OSU and UM, note MSU's SOS is better than OSU's.
#17 Iowa, SOS 62 - no losses, but suspect schedule, note Iowa's SOS is 62 and OSU's is 61
#24 Wisconsin, SOS 71 – 3 losses one of them to Northwestern
#34 Northwestern, SOS 31 - 2 losses but beat Wisconsin, note NW's SOS is 31 and Wisc's is 71
#42 Penn State, SOS 59 - you know the story here
