I tuned in around the 6th inning. It was 1-1 at the time. Then the Dodgers got a 2-run HR, to go up 3-1. The Astros got 1 in the top of the 8th, and 1 in the top of the 9th, to send the game to extra innings.

The Astros had 2 solo HRs in the top of the 10th, to take a 5-3 lead. The Astros then had Relayer's favorite former Philadelphia Phillie, Ken Giles, pitch the bottom of the 10th. He gave up a solo HR to Puig, then walked a batter, then threw a wild pitch to allow the walked batter to go to 2nd, and then gave up a single, so the Dodgers tied it at 5-5.

It's now in the 11th. The Astros had a single then a HR, to take a 7-5 lead.

The Dodgers have used every pitcher in their bullpen, so if they tie things up in the bottom of the 11th, they will be in a bit of a bind.

Good stuff.

It's a good game only if the Dodgers and their $265,000,000 payroll lose:cool: Giles looked like a deer in headlights once he was a strike away from winning the game.

So bottom of the 11th, with 2 outs, Devenski gives up a solo HR to Culberson, so it's 7-6, Astros. That brings Puig to the plate, and he crushed a HR in his last AB.

Devenski gets ahead 0-2. Puig fouls off a tough pitch, so it stays 0-2. Then he throws a ball outside that Puig doesn't chase, so it's 1-2. Then he throws a breaking ball that bounces in the dirt, and Puig checks on it, so it's 2-2. Devenski throws another outside pitch that Puig nearly goes for, but the 1st base ump says he didn't swing, so it's 3-2. Then Puig fouls a high pitch, still 3-2. Puig fouls another one back, 3-2. And Puig goes down swinging on a nasty breaking ball, so the Astros win G2, 7-6.

8 HRs in the game.

This series looks to be a real battle, and is tied up 1-1.

Couldn't sleep last night. Got up (it was after midnight), saw the game was still going on and listened to the last inning and a half on my iPad. Thought why can't they start these games earlier -- like 7 in the morning? Announcers were going on about what a game this was. Thought, yeah, and who's going to know about it?

Anyone stay up for the end of Game 2?

Being a Stros fan, I got mad and went to bed after the 2 run homer to Segar, woke up today to a huge surprise. 8 homers, and Altuve is the best player in baseball IMO.

Kept me awake coming home from volleyball on I - 80 last night. Quite a game of highs and lows for both teams.

Why do you care what the Dodgers pay their players? The Astros payroll is half the Dodgers, yet here they go to Houston, tied at a game apiece. The Astros previously beat the Yankees and Red Sox. Neither of them shrinking violets in the payroll game.
Since free agency in 1976, 22 different teams have won the World Series.
Before free agency, going back to 1903, 19 different teams won.
