An altered state
While the people heading to the game will not like the cooler weather of highs around 60 Friday through Sun, I love it. The game will be in upper 50s meaning we won't have to deal with the heat and humidity that bowl games often have. Takes away one of the SEC advantages of bowl games.

I had a nice conversation with a guy who is a Baylor season ticket holder and former lower division college player. We compared teams like Baylor and TCU to PSU and tOSU. He actually agreed that these teams focus on offense to win games because they never have to "win ugly" in bad weather. Their games are more like track meets.

This was after Baylor played TCU in a driving rain storm. The game ended 14-14 before overtime (team averaged about 40 points per game). My friend said that these teams simply never anticipate a grind-it-out, slug-fest. We've had good weather this year, but in past years we've had key games against Iowa, Wiscy, Sparty and UM in really cold and/or rainy weather. Gotta have a team that is equipped to win ugly in those conditions.

Pretty sure it will be about 65 degrees, and for the most part, dry. in my family room.

However, there is a slight chance of precipitation in the form of remote controls, cushions and lamps at the beginning of the game. The chance for this precipitation increases based on the results of the Penn State football team.

In the event of a complete blow out of the Penn State football team, forecasters are calling for local citizens to brace for "Superstorm Ro". Much damage will be expected.
