So we haven’t been able to run at all all year long and we come out trying to establish the run up the middle against a stacked D. PATHETIC! ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC!
1) Start Robinson and run wildcat rollouts to use his athleticism…..Clifford could come in anytime after the first several series or in the second half if needed.
OR
2) Start Clifford and throw the ball EVERY FUDGING PLAY until Illinois stopped loading the box, THEN throw in a few running plays.
Despite the officiating, despite the missed opportunities to make several key plays, this loss is IMHO 90% on the coaching staff both on their original game plan but even more so on their lack of in-game and halftime adjustments. ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC.
The announcing crew nailed what we should have been doing all game long yesterday on both O & D. It was pretty obvious to everyone but the coaching staff.
