A few thoughts on the first half:
- Clifford playing well.
- Have to love the freshman running backs. This is the legacy of Saquon Barkley -- attracting great running backs to the program who want to follow in his footsteps.
- Unfortunately, the running offense suffers from the same thing that held back Barkley's stats. I agree with Klatt's comments. These guys should be running down hill, not starting flat-footed with a delay. Lee is not as quick and should be a goal line RB at most.
- Defensively, there are glaring holes in our pass defense. I don't know what it is with Terry Smith, but why do we have great athletic corners who feel compelled to grab the receiver? Seems like this hasn't changed from last year. Porter is hurting his draft stock.
