See the link. More ranting about Joe included. She really needs to STFU because she never gives a factual account of the situation.

ganim sucks

Ganim is at CNN solely because she won a Pulitzer based on cherry picked information which was fed to her by some shady people. The folks at CNN saw "Pulitzer" and assumed she must have done some heavy duty investigative reporting not knowing she was a patsy. CNN must have realized Ganim's resume didn't reflect her true abilities which was why she was sent to Boston to cover a snow storm. Ganim knows her cover is blown so she's going back to what got her name out there in the first place - Penn State.

I am guessing that it likely helped her to have a highly-placed media consultant as a reference.

Nice pay off for her, really.

Too bad for her and her sponsor(s) that she really doesn't have any chops.

Clicks keep "journalists" employed

If its non-factual, don't read it. The problem with many of these "news" organizations is that being first or supporting an organizations agenda makes things like reporting factual information low priority

Didn't you know that Joe is the second most powerful person in heaven and he is to blame for all the snow in New England?! You could give me a million bucks and I wouldn't click on that link!!

would like to see her in a porn movie

with about 6 football players
laugh.r191677.gif

Good luck finding a football player who would be willing to do that.

They have their standards, you know.

The reason she's doing this is because they are feeling the heat.

It's the same thing as the "news" last week that the Paterno camp was indulging in lies and falsehoods etc. I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't some kind of coordinated effort that is hoping to head off some news that is sure to be released soon.

Sara's in bed (no pun intended) with the BOT crowd. The timing of all of this is no accident.

This sums it up nicely.

She sure loves to attack the popularity of sports, but completely ignores the fraud in the Centre County court system that her good buddy seems to be knee deep in.

There's got to be away to expose this chick.

Serious question: what PSU-related fact did she get wrong

in that article?

Thanks in advance.

She continues to imply that this was all Joe's fault.

You don't see that?

And frankly, I don't believe half the stuff she says. We already know she has no ethics whatsoever, so I could easily envision her lying to try and prove her point.

I suspect that not much of it is true...that seems easier. For instance...

Don't expect me to believe that a person sitting behind her in court tweeted her that she was going to rip her face off.

Don't expect me to believe that a Penn Stater at a game holding a child is going to launch into a "profanity based" attack.

Don't expect me to believe any of it.

I guess we see different things

Paterno is mentioned all of 3 times in that article. Once in the bullying sentence. The other two times in a parenthetical that give background as to who Paterno is.

(admittedly, the parenthetical wasn't necessary. Who doesn't know that background at this point?)

I fully believe it happened, we humans are like that

at the Wisconsin game in 2013, I had a Wisconsin fan holding a child launch into a profanity-based attack against me after we scored a touchdown and I cheered. "F****** child abuse enabler, go leave and hit the showers, just don't rape any kids while you're there." Yes, that happened.

The tweet claim could actually be verified, I'd imagine. Anyway, I can imagine a fringe PSU-fan doing that, absolutely.

"wrong" in lies or "wrong" in purposely misleading?

in my mind, purposely misleading is just as bad as a lie. a) Joe has been exonerated of all responsibility in the JS case from the lead investigator the the NCAA restoring his wins. b) when you have 105,000 people at a stadium, you can always cite individual experiences that defy the real, overall experience of an event.

Sure, people get carried away. I dropped an F-bomb at the PSU vs. 4 OT Michigan game that I still feel bad about (on a non-hold right before the end of regulation). But the atmosphere of that game was fantastic and I talked to several UM fans that were there who totally agreed (despite a horrible game and loss by their team).

Serious question for those in the know - has Ganim done anything at CNN

that has been worthy of a pulitzer prize winner? I don't watch CNN nor do I go on it's website so I don't know what she's been up to, but in following this board it seems like Ganim feels the need to bring up PSU every so often. Is there that much significant news coming out of PSU that Ganim needs to reference PSU what seems like at least once a year? I would think a pulitzer prize winning reporter, who works for a large network, would be to busy traveling most of the year and involved in various hot spots around the world to even think about PSU. Someone correct me if I am wrong but I don't get the vibe that Ganim is doing much relevant work at CNN that is worthy of a pulitzer prize winner - am I wrong?

She's used two antecdotes (shameful ones, to be sure) to portray an

entire fanbase. Any objective reading would lead someone outside the community to think that the lunatic fringe is the norm. It's yellow journalism 101.

She is lying about AF being bullied at CMHS...

...for starters. That is just complete fantasy stuff and JZ has pretty much proven it through interviews w/ former friends and classmates.

her forays into other stories (mostly the UNC fake class scandal and the alleged rapes at ND) have been met with serious credibility issues and criticism from other journalists.

she will keep milking that Penn State/Paterno cash cow as long as she can. as many have pointed out, seems very odd that a plucky young reporter who hustled her way to a Pulitzer prize winning story still hasn't capitalized on it with a book.

Re: would like to see her in a porn movie

This kind of post is not helpful.

Don't hand people ammunition and then get mad when they fire it at you.

Ten is wrong. I believe that Sarah received messages like that. The unfortunate thing is that she (or the trustees, or any other Penn State haters) can use this crap to make us all look bad. It would be good if people could consider how stuff like this reflects on all Penn Staters (unfair as it is).

I have to agree, this is beneath us

much as I dislike Ganim, these kind of posts are exactly the kind of posts people like Ganim will isolate out of context to condemn an entire fan base.

which is exactly what her and he philly mag toadie did (notice how she referenced that article in her opinion piece??) to support their notion that an entire fanbase is "harassing" her. of course, she also acts like an spoiled kid any time someone criticizes her lack of facts, or her willingness to compromise the integrity of the media to be a political tool for the OAG/Governor.

We could make a lot more headway if people would knock it off with the misogynistic crap and just call her out for allowing herself to be the mouthpiece of a prosecutor with an agenda.

yup, because ganim always responds to the hate
