I have not heard much mention about this after the announcement in the off season.
Did they release any pictures of the jerseys or are they the same as 2 years back? I did not see much online.

Yeah they’re bringing them back for homecoming. Number on the helmet, stripe on the pants, white shoes, name on the back (not sure).

Not sure if any new changes this year

What is PSU’s record playing in gimmick uniforms? I suspect there’s no reason to search during JoePa’s coaching tenure.

People seem to forget that Paterno was responsible for the most drastic change to the uniform. He changed the color from a royal blue to a navy blue in the late 60s. Here's a pic where the stripe & number on the helmet are navy while the jersey was still royal. 1967 or 68?

Definitely prefer the navy.

Not true.

Poor goal line play calling doomed us and a WR who thought he was in the end zone after making a catch but was out at the 2.
And the Alabama TD late in the 2nd quarter that bounced off the turf before the receiver trapped it. Saw the replay from a new angle two days after the game on Channel 4 out of Pittsburgh. Should have been a tie game going into the half. Shades of osu "completions" in our future.

I agree that it looks great here.

Also happen to think that Penn State should wear Penn State uniforms.

Tbh, I don’t understand the point of identifying with black shoes. It really isn’t part of the uniform and I don’t think white shoes are still perceived as flashy like they may have been 40 years ago. I honestly just think it’s a cleaner look and better fits the color scheme.

Those less clean Black Shoes also happen to be the first descriptor of Penn State's brand identity.

These alternates are pretty close to perfect. Keep the white shoes, blue socks, and pant stripe, and then wear the standard helmets and jerseys for every game, IMO.

It's a throwback. The slogan still stands with today's uniform. Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing them do a pink and black jersey someday, but I would do it in October, when they could use it as a Breast Cancer Awareness month fundraiser.

Masterpiece.
Also, I don't know why we got rid of the opposite color bands on the sleeves and collar, but there was no reason to.

No thanks to the logo on the helmet, no thanks to the colored stripes on the collar/sleeve, no thanks to the off-color shoes (everyone's wearing brown leather shoes now with their navy suits, perhaps we should go with that? I kid). Other than that, the passion is appreciated. Our uniforms are pretty much perfect just the way they are and they should be known as "the tuxedo of college football."
