Getting to know Penn States next hammer: Alex Facundo

Same, that was just unfounded speculation to be honest. You can say the same about anyone then. I never fathomed that Beard could possibly get pushed out of the lineup but when Facundo committed, it was possibly someone would likely be in the upper weight but not necessarily.

Brooks ability to redshirt still + olympic redshirts can really allow them to balance the lineup later but you know Cael will continue to seek to add talent regardless of what he already has in the room.
Are we insinuating that facundo is a better wrestler/option than beard? As mentioned above I think facundo is a great talent but beard is much more offensive and able to score points don't you think. Ohhh and is it facundo or funcundo lol

Rylan Rogers, Bennett Berge, and Carson Manville will all commit to PSU and retire a year later.

Based on what exactly?

And remember that Cassar got a couple extensions. He won the title in his 5th year, had his 6th cut short due to injury, and had a 7th available to him.

I would have loved to have seen a healthy Cassar wrestle this year. His semi-finals win against GS is probably one of my top 10 favorite wins of all time, and it sure would have been nice to see him come back and give GS a little more love! :)

Maybe he graduates and doesn’t want to go to grad school? Maybe he wants to start making money and figures five or six years is enough? Hell I don’t know. Didn’t Verk have more years available to him?

I suspect the 24 oly shirt is a big factor in sorting all this out.

If AB gets up to a true 86kg for the 2024 Olympic trials, he's going to have a hard time making weight down at 184.

There's a reason Myles Amine went 197 this year.
Hard time? Spend a week with JB, he just cut 20 pounds in 3 weeks (give or take lol)

Since I do not know enough about the Berge's, was Brady an offensive juggernaut in high school? I think he is a great defensive wrestler and cannot be discounted in big matches. And, I guess that I ask the same about Bennett.

PSU football has commits from two 4 star QB’s (Allar and Pribula) in the 2022 class. The odds are real good that one of them will eventually hit the portal instead of watching.

With all the talent Cael is bringing in, good chance some of the guys who do not break into the lineup hit the portal too. It’s not the end of the world. With greyshirts, redshirts, Olympic redshirts, injuries, etc, it will all sort itself out.
