Never liked Girl Scout Cookies.
Now if we are talking 4H, those were some damn fine cookies.

The truth is that the names are copyrighted and differ regionally according to the bakery where they're made. You can still buy "Samoas" in some regions.

Really? I thought they were awful. And the s'mores were a huge disappointment. Not worth the extra $1.

There are only three that I like. In order:

Thin Mints- If I open a sleeve of them the entire sleeve is gone.

Tagalongs- Like a Resse’s in cookie form.

Peanut Butter Sandwich- the crunchiness drops it a notch below the creamy cookie.

Samoas are definitely top dog. There is one that I really like but it isn't available in our area (South Florida), but my brother-in-law sent us some. It's a newer flavor called Lemonades. It's a shortbread cookie with a light lemon icing on one side. Pretty tasty.

My Granddaughter is a girl scout and at age 5 sold 500 boxes last year. Her goal is to repeat it this year. So far in a week and a half she's at about 150. Nobody can say no to a 6 yr old. selling girl scout cookies.

I've had my problems with Tagalongs in the past. I try to keep it reasonable but it's hard. I just really want to support those young ladies.

1. S'Mores: new as of last year, I believe, and oh, so tasty...put in the freezer
2. Caramel Delights: also go in the freezer
3. Thin Mints: also go in the freezer

The PB ones are OK, but I wonder why they still sell the regular Shortbreads

The gluten free ones ($5/box) are a rip-off....not that they all aren't at $4/box, but it's for a good cause.

BTW......the troops only get $0.60 out of each box they sell. They can get a little more if they elect not to accept any of the individual prizes for reaching certain sales levels.....a $1 tip is better (for them) than buying a box.

The new S’mores cookies with the graham cracker outside has surged to the top of my list. S’mores, then the two pb ones. Then thin mints ( I make them a sandwich with cool whip in the middle)

The cookies are so small and so terrible for you, it's actually astonishing. They're good but if I'm going to indulge I prefer something that tastes much better

Yep, quite frankly, they’re terrible. But parents used to bring them into the office to unload so we always bought a couple of boxes to help out. Shortbread and thin mints.
