That trade was a steal. Klubber back soon and the team is younger. Tribe front office is the best in baseball considering their ownership constraints. Tito is also HOF level
When the trade was made I asked on this board (to you) what was the background for this trade.
Was Bauer a PIA to management?

Good, so far. He's got the best Skipper in the game right now. Tribe has the best record in baseball since mid June
I like him. He gave up one run in seven inning last night with 11 Ks. After the crap on the mound we’ve been forced to watch the last several years in Cincinnati, I’d like Jeffrey Dahmer if he pitched like that.

He is ok. He is very out spoken and a weird bird. He won't sign more than a one year contract. But he's got great stuff.
In the ws two years ago, he cut his finger on a drone and tried to pitch until the blood was dripping from his fingers.

Tribe, now, tied for first place despite being 11 1/2 games back in June. Amazing. Puig making great contributions, young pitchers stepping up and team playing great situational baseball. Kluber will be making some AA rehab starts soon and could be back before Labor Day. Taking 3 out of 4 against the twins and doing it in good style. The only fly in the ointment was Hand blowing a save (and getting the win at the same time, but that's baseball). Tribe not only tied for first but also tied for the third best record in the AL with an inside track of a wild card if they don't win the division.
Do you know when Kluber is supposed to be at AA? I am going to be in Erie this weekend and planning on taking the kids to the SeaWolves game. They play Akron, and was wondering if we would get to see him play.
I do not, sorry. They often do AA because it is Akron. They also do Columbus, which is AAA.
I just looked up their schedule and he is pitching Tuesday at Akron. Maybe he throws Sunday, but we are leaving then. Darn
Another crazy game yesterday with the Tribe ending up being on top. Little worried about Hand blowing two saves in two attempts. Having said that, in blowing the saves, he got them as "wins".
I went to see Kluber in Columbus last week. He got hit pretty hard, but I don’t put much stock in it when they’re just working on their own things rather than getting batter out so much.
Tough thing for the Tribe is that the Twins have the easiest schedule in baseball the rest of the way. Tribe schedule is 14th. Seems like the Twins play nothing but the White Sox, Royals, and Tigers the rest of the way. Indians have to own their H2H going forward.
Thanks..Kluber is like a machine. He doesn't care if he gets hit as long as he is working his curve, slider and fastball correctly. He'll work on strength and mechanics. So while it is concerning, the team will look at his speed and location. If those are in place, he'll be called up. If not, he'll stay in the minors until ready.
the best team doesn't always win in baseball. seven game series help but a lot of times a player hits a screaming line drive right at a defender for a double play. The next team gets up and gets three infield hits than a bloop double off a bat to win. And....injuries. Certainly looks like Houston has the best team in baseball but there is a reason why they play the games.
Zac Plesac has been huge for the Tribe since he was called up. Great addition.
